I took in three pieces of vintage copper cookware to have them retinned. The copper was beginning to show through on the interior which is not safe to cook in. I looked on line and found that one of the last places for food grade copper re-tinning is just down the road a piece in Hubbard, Oregon at Oregon Re-Tinners Co.

The gal that helped me was really nice and so incredibly helpful. It turns out two of the pans didn’t have tin linings, but instead worn stainless steel. They are going to remove that and tin them for me – using food grade tin.

More to come when they are finished in 3-6 weeks (they are very, very busy)
The pans are beautiful. I hardly want to use them now.
