It’s July 1st, the beginning of Plastic-Free July. I’m working on reducing single use plastic from my life and thought I’d post some of the things I’m trying.

These are plastic free deodorants from @Native. The formulas are aluminum, sulfate, phthalate, talc and paraben free, vegan and cruelty free and packaged in paperboard rather than plastic. This means not only a healthier option than what I’ve been using, but also there will be no more plastic containers, lids and guards thrown into the waste stream. The cardboard tubes can go into the compost and the recyclable packing materials are made of recycled materials.

I ordered three plastic free deodorants – Aloe & Green Tea, Charcoal, and Cucumber & Mint. They just arrived in the mail yesterday so I tried one for the first time today – no stinky for me (I will be using up what I have left of the conventional deodorant tube before I switch permanently – I don’t want to waste something I’ve already purchased).

I think this Plastic Free Swap can be considered a success!
