Plastic Free July …. Shampoo Bar

July 2nd of Plastic-Free Juliybrings another way to cut back on single use plastics.
We used shampoo bars years ago but got away from them for some reason. We do recycle our empty shampoo and conditioner bottles, but it’s better still if I don’t buy them in the first place.

Yesterday I rediscovered at Moon Valley Organics.  Their products are made with 100% USDA certified organic, sustainably farmed herbs.  They use permaculture practices and have created a 4-acre pollinator sanctuary on their farm.  They also devote 10% of their profits to help protect pollinators through direct action as well as contributions to non-profits like the Pesticide Action Network and the People & Pollinators Action Network.

In addition to great growing practices, Moon Valley Organic’s packaging is BPA-free, 100% recyclable and made from the highest percentage of post-consumer recycled material

I chose a Lemon Verbena shampoo bar – It smells amazing. I’m looking forward to using it once my current bottle of shampoo is gone – no sense wasting what we already have.
